"Reflective" Reflections

I snagged a Reflective plaque from Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig this past week and what a joy he was to paint! Sometimes it takes something like this to get the artistic juices flowing again. Something small, low pressure, with instant gratification! If you are not sure about if you want to try one of these guys, do it! You won't regret it!

Here are some pics of the piece that I took last night at 2am. I just could not put it down until It was finished. I still have some sealer to put on it and probably I will tweak a few things now that my eyes are not crossed. Hope you like him!

Like I said on FB, this guy looks great! There is always such an elegance with well-done fleabitten horses!

I totally agree that small plaques and medallions are perfect for getting the artistic engine revved up again. I love being able to try out ideas and generally just get my paintbrush "warmed up" on little things before I start on commission horses.
